Corporate Quiz Results - Saregama tops Mumbai

Close to 200 teams at the amazing ballroom at Taj Lands End seemed a perfect setting for the final city of the 2015 edition of Tata Crucible. At the stroke of two, quizmaster Pickbrain walked in and went about the prelim at a brisk pace. The questions were crafty with a few Mumbai based questions adding to the flavour. The teams that made it were:

FINALISTS

  • HDFC Life: Francis Rodrigues and Vishal S
  • Saregama: Avinash Mudaliar and Siddhartha Banerjee
  • SIMSR: Debraj Ghosal and Rushi Anandan
  • KPMG: Jaydutt Shah and Murtuza R
  • Tata Industries: Nikhil Sonde and Sharan Makhija
  • Godrej & Boyce: Dabashis Sahu and Nikhil C

The final witnessed a three way battle for most part of the quiz between HDFC Life, Saregama and Tata Industries. Godrej and Boyce took early negatives that erased all the good answers they gave in the later part of the finale.

In the second phase of the quiz, the duo from Saregama moved ahead with some truly brilliant answers that powered them to the top spot. They too made some big mistakes but regrouped quickly and closed the final with quality answers.

The team from Tata Industries came back well and stayed in the hunt till the very end but could only get past HDFC Life while Saregama took the top slot and moved into the West Zonals.
