Corporate Quiz Results - Indian Oil win Chandigarh in style
The lovely city of Chandigarh was witness to the annual edition of Tata Crucible, an absorbing evening of quizzing that saw many corporates battle for the top honours with great enthusiasm.
The prelim had a lot of interesting questions which got the better of the teams who all felt they could have scored a few more, as the quizmaster gave out the answers after the prelim. The top six teams that made it were:
- Infosys: Anish Gupta and Aseem Khurana
- Infosys: Jagmit Singh and Jasmeet Singh
- The Indian Express: Gaurav M and Ashwani Kumar
- Indian Oil Corporation: Vipin Austin and Deepak Taneja
- Idea Cellular: Dharmender Yadav and Sandeep V
- Fresh Bite: Akul Tandon and Shantanu Sharma
The final started with Indian Oil Corporation, cracking questions with regular frequency and remarkable speed. They certainly had a good preparation to back them up, which was evident.
The battle very soon was a one sided affair with IOCL moving from strength to strength and soon crossing the 300 mark and winning the quiz in style to mark a place for themselves in the north zonals.
The battle for the second place was interesting with Fresh Bite scoring close to 200 but loosing several points on the buzzer. Infosys with Jagmit and Jasmeet played cleverly and won the runner up title by not taking any negatives.
Mr. Surinder Singh, the General Manager, Taj Chandigarh, appreciated the teams and gave away the prizes.
