A huge turnout of over 400 people resulted in two simultaneous prelims being organised by noted quiz hosts Ms. Rashmi Furtado and Pickbrain. The tense prelims lead to 10 teams that made it to the next round of the quiz.
The finals were swift with quizmaster Pickbrain belting out questions one after the other. The teams were buzzing quick and fast as well, with NIT, represented by Aditi and Amal, moving ahead quickly, while the Humanities duo from Manipal, did well to stay on course.
The other teams including the aspiring doctors from Kasturba Medical College tried the best to catch up and move ahead but the team from NIT was extremely well prepared to let anyone close in on them. They won comfortably with the Centre for Humanities finishing runner-up.
The guest of honour, Professor Simon George, Dean academics TAPMI, spoke on the importance of learning both inside and outside the classrooms before giving away the prizes to the winners.
